How Much Does a Brand Video Cost in Brisbane?

Ask three Brisbane production companies what a brand video costs and the answers will land anywhere between $800 and $15,000. That spread confuses a lot of business owners, because on the surface everyone is selling the same thing: a video about your business.

They are not selling the same thing. Here is what actually drives the number, so you can read a quote properly instead of just comparing the figure at the bottom.

The Brisbane brand video price range

  • $800–$1,500 — A half-day shoot, one operator, light edit. Good for a single social piece or a simple talking-head.
  • $1,500–$3,000 — A full shoot day with proper lighting and audio, a graded edit, plus social cutdowns. This is where most small business brand films land.
  • $3,000–$6,000 — Multi-location or multi-day, a small crew, scripted structure, aerial coverage, and a family of deliverables.
  • $6,000–$15,000+ — Campaign work: talent, styling, storyboards, multiple edits per platform, longer post-production.

What you are actually paying for

Shoot day is the visible part, but it is rarely the biggest cost. A one-day shoot routinely carries two to four days of work around it: pre-production and shot planning, then the edit, the colour grade, sound mixing, and revisions. When a quote looks unusually cheap, the saving almost always comes out of post-production — and post is where a video stops looking like footage and starts looking like a film.

The second real cost driver is deliverables. One 90-second hero film is a different job to a hero film plus six vertical cutdowns, a 30-second ad, and a stills set. Ask any quote to spell out exactly what lands in your hands.

Questions worth asking before you sign

  • How many finished deliverables are included, and in what aspect ratios?
  • How many rounds of revisions, and what counts as a revision?
  • Is colour grading and sound mixing included, or quoted separately?
  • Who owns the finished footage and the raw files?
  • Is the person quoting the person actually shooting?

What is worth paying more for

Audio, lighting, and the edit. Audiences forgive an imperfect frame and switch off instantly at bad sound. Lighting is the difference between footage that looks like your business and footage that looks like a phone in an office. And the edit is where pacing, story and restraint turn material into something people watch to the end.

What is rarely worth paying more for: crew size for its own sake, and gear lists. A large crew on a small shoot adds cost and slows the day down. What matters is whether the people there know what they are doing.

The right budget for a Brisbane business

For most Brisbane small and medium businesses, $1,500–$3,000 is the honest sweet spot: a properly lit and recorded shoot day, a graded and mixed edit, and enough cutdowns to actually feed your channels for months. Below that you are usually buying footage. Above it you are buying campaign scale — worth it when there is a campaign to run.
